Whilst waiting for the water taxi to arrive at the jetty at Fort McHenry, I was chewed by biting flies. The appearance of the water taxi was therefore a welcome relief. I quickly boarded it, leaving the biting flies to pick on someone else as their main course. The taxi took us the Fell's Point, the historic maritime area of Baltimore. The difference in style of the buildings is noticeable when compared to other parts of the city. Lots of brick, brightly painted buildings. We walked around the streets, looking for somewhere to have lunch. There were plenty from which to choose.
