Philadelphia: National Constitution Centre

Philadelphia National Constitution Center Aug 15 2

Philadelphia is the home of US independence. It was here in 1776 that independence was declared and the city was where the US constitution was written and agreed, creating the Union in place of the 13 independent former colonies. The full story of the constitution is told at the National Constitution Centre on Independence Square.

It cost $14 to go in but it was well worth it. Sadly, photos aren't allowed beyond the reception area except in the "Signers' Room". In addition, there was also an exhibition of Kennedy family photos and one about the history of the fight for gay equality.
