Washington DC: the National Zoo
Our third full day in Washington DC was to be spent mainly at the National Zoo. The easiest way to get there was to take the Metro from Farragut North to Woodley Park Station.
It was then a short walk to the zoo - and it was free to get in.
The giant pandas are among the most famous of the Zoo's residents. I'm pleased to say that since seeing them three weeks ago, Mei Xiang has given birth to another set of twins.
