We arrived at Constitution Avenue and spotted this old building. It looked a bit out of place on its own. Further down the road are the neo-classical buildings of the government district. This modest and much older building turned out to be the Tiber Creek Lockkeeper's House, a reminder that Constitution Avenue runs along a river since channeled through a culvert to make way for the developing US capital. I think it is now used for storage.
