I hadn't been to a Broadway performance before so it was time to change that. We walked up Broadway from our hotel, through Times Square, to 44th Street where we were going to see Mama Mia at the Broadhurst Theater. As camp as a row of pink tents, fun nevertheless, even if not entirely my cup of tea.
Speaking of drinks, we made the fundamental error of going to the bar. Only when the drinks were poured - 2 beers - did we discover our mistake. $28 for 2 beers! We made them last all evening. My advice to anyone watching a show at the Broadhurst - have a drink before you go. Under no circumstances use the bar in the theater unless you are feeling absurdly generous!
