New York: walking up 5th Avenue

After lunch we headed north up 5th Avenue. Our aim was to get as far as Central Park. There are some significant buildings to see on the way.



I've been up the Empire State Building 3 times before so we had no plans to do so on this trip. Nevertheless, it remains one of my favourite buildings on the planet.



Every time I've been to New York, I've seen a procession in the city. No different this time.



New York Public Library - library buildings don't come batter than this.







For some reason I just cannot understand, Donald Trump is the front runner to win the Republican nomination for the Presidency. Trump style diplomacy has, understandably, upset the groups of people who have been the victims of his comments. Not surprisingly, we found a demonstration outside Trump Tower.
